Cenderawasih Bay National Park was established in 1993 by the Ministry of
Forestry. Besides enjoying the underwater nature, you also get to explore the
islands. Mioswaar Island, one of the islands in Papua tourist attractions, has
a cave with a hot spring with sulfur content worth your visit. In addition
Mioswaar Island, there is still Yoop Island, numfor, Nusrowi Island and other
islands that you should not miss.
This tourist spot is administratively located in two districts namely
Wondama and Nabire. The national park is also a research center of the whale
shark or whale shark undertaken by the government in collaboration with NGOs at
home and abroad.
This national park represents
a coastal ecosystem, mangrove forests, coral reefs and tropical forests in
Papua. Cendrawasih Bay National Park store 150 species from 15 families were
spread on the banks of the islands large and small. Coral reef ecosystem is
divided into two zones: the reef (reef flat) and the reef slope zone (reef

shark), the giant shark species with a length of 14 meters, but benign and
harmless to humans because only prey on small fish. There is also a giant fish
more, the blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus), dugongs (Dugong dugon), coconut
crab (Birgus latro), dolphins, and sharks.
There are also species of molluscs such as Strombidae conch
(Lambis spp.), Cowries (Cypraea spp.), Triton trumpet (Charonia tritonis), cone
snails (Conus spp.), And giant clams (Tridacna gigas). If you're lucky, you'll
also see various types of turtles, including hawksbill (Eretmochelys
imbricata), Olive Ridley turtles (Lepidochelys olivaceae), green turtle
(Chelonia mydas) and the leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea).
In addition
to various types of fish, you can also visit the natural cave which is a relic
of ancient hot springs containing sulfur without salt levels, and the
waterfalls on the island Misowaar, cave in water with a depth of 30 meters at
Tanjung Mangguar.

do snorkeling, diving (Diving), marine tourism, and wildlife observation in
Nusrowi Island and Pulau Roon. There is also a place for the observation of
birds, deer, and nautical tourism on the island Rumberpon. Or if you want to

HOW TO GULF TO NATIONAL PARK CENDERAWASIH
For access to the Teluk Cenderawasih, there are three paths
that can be taken are:
Air
